Coal-to-Liquids
Coalition lauds Senate support for CTL fuels; pledges to bring supporters
together on common ground
Washington, D.C. – The
Coal-to-Liquids Coalition (CTLC) is heartened by the support two separate
coal-to-liquid (CTL) transportation fuel amendments garnered in the Senate
on June 19. When combined, 69 Senators voted for amendments to help jumpstart
the domestic production of ultra-clean CTL fuels.
CTLC members thank all those in the
Senate who recognize the promising role CTL fuels can play in strengthening
America’s
energy independence.
Looking forward, CTLC members are
committed to working with all Senate CTL supporters in order to reconcile
our shared environmental and energy security goals with current
technological capabilities so as to expedite the domestic production of CTL
fuels.
